ISA Mortgage

An ISA is a tax efficient savings vehicle that can be used to repay your mortgage. There are limits set by the government as to how much money an individual can invest each tax year into an ISA.

Lenders will advance you money and set the mortgage up on an Interest Only basis. The borrower would then invest a separate monthly amount into ISA. When the ISA matures the money held within the ISA can then be used to repay the mortgage.

With some types of ISA the money that is paid in by the investor can be invested on the stock market and as with all investments, returns cannot be guaranteed.
